Growing in Love Together

February is the month of Valentine’s Day.  The month of love.  We love all kinds of things in February: cards, gifts, chocolate, and candy.  We love our spouse, boyfriend, girlfriend, and family. We love our Lord and Savior.  Sometimes we feel love for something. But when it comes to the love Jesus has for us it is more than a feeling. It is always shown in action. From John 15:13-14, we read, “No one has greater love than this: to lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you.” Christianity is love in action.

Noble Avenue Baptist Church (NABC) shows this in many ways by:

• giving to spread the gospel through missions.

• giving to families and children through the 1.1.1 project.

• giving to ‘change for the good’.

• serving on committees to help NABC be the family of God we are called to be.

• giving through serving in Sunday School, choir, Noble Threads, prayer, and handbells.

• giving through discipling each other with encouragement and challenge.

• being a witness to our community of God’s loving kindness to us and how they can know Jesus’ love too.

This month our ‘change for the good’ offering will be for Camp Joy. Please prayerfully consider how God would have you give. Also, our prayer focus this month is ‘Love for Families’. Be sure to connect with church family who cannot come and be a blessing to them.

Noble Avenue Baptist Church is a place of love. We show it by showing God’s grace and mercy to others because He has shown these to us. Thank you for being a “Place of Grace”. Remember you are loved.
