A Month of Missions & Prayer

September is a month of missions and prayers.  We will have our week of prayer for the Edna McMillan Offering for State Missions September 7-14.  This year Oklahoma Baptists are sharing 3 stories to give a picture of how the gifts will be used: 

1)Reaching students on 39 college campuses across the state with the gospel and discipleship through Baptist Collegiate Ministries;

2) supporting and serving multi-vocational and smaller in attendance church pastors who are making a gospel impact on their communities; and

3) helping foster care ministry and outreach in the local church.  Please pray how God would have you give to this offering. 

Another big event happening this month is See You At The Pole.  This now international event started 35 years ago at a student retreat in Burleson, Texas.  This September 24 students will meet at the flagpole on their school campus for See You At The Pole.  Students pray for God to move in the lives of their friends, school, and leaders.  This year’s theme is:  AWE!  Based on Habakkuk 3:2 - “Lord, I have heard the report about You; Lord, I am stand in awe of your deeds.” 

God is moving in the world around us .  He wants to move in your life.  Pray He will reveal how He is working in your life and share that with those God has put in your life in word and deed.
