Seeking Him Together

Every year, I hope you will pray and seek the Lord on the National Day of Prayer. This year, on Thursday, May 7, 2026, we will unite in prayer with churches and people from across the country, asking God to move for His glory.

You are invited to join people and churches from across Logan County on May 7 at Community Church at 7:00 AM for a special National Day of Prayer Service. (Interested in attending? Invite a friend and check out the details at the end of this news article)

The theme for 2026 is, “Glorify God Among the Nations, Seeking Him in All Generations.” I hope this theme will guide you this year in your prayer and conversations.

The theme is inspired by a passionate prayer of thanksgiving prayed by King David in 1 Chronicles 16 after bringing the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem. Part of his prayer was: “Let the whole earth sing to the Lord. Proclaim his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the nations, his wondrous works among all peoples” (1 Chronicles 16:23–24, CSB).

This chapter records Israel celebrating the return of the Ark to Jerusalem. God was always watching over Israel and was only a prayer away from them. The Ark of the Covenant represented the presence of God dwelling with His people. As believers, we have God’s presence with us through the Holy Spirit we received when we trusted Jesus Christ.

Thankfully, we have an entire year—365 days—to unpack all we can glean from this theme. Make a plan to come to the 2026 National Day of Prayer Service at Community Church on May 7, at 7:00 AM.

“Glorify God Among the Nations, Seeking Him in All Generations.”

Grace and Peace,
Brian Frank
